Hello everyone, I recently joined the forum, last week in fact. I have been lurking for about a month and decided once I have my Yorkie home, I will post.
Cody is an adorable 4-5lbs, 9 month old, DOB 8/18. I also, have a maltipoo (Cinnamon) who is 1 year old approx 11lbs, and they are both scheduled to be neuterd and spayed this week. (no worries, she is not in heat). But boy, is the lil boy a humper, I told my 5 year old not to allow him to hump her but she thinks he is giving her hugs. I told her he is not giving her hugs, he is trying to be the boss of you, she says, so, what's wrong with that?

I promptly, took over the corrections.
Cinnamon has had furbuddies come over before and they have played nicely, I didn't think she would mine having permnament company. I picked Cody up on Friday, Cinnamon who is house trained and rings the bell to tell me she wants out, totally forgot her training, she had 3 accidents on Friday and 2 on Saturday, Sunday one accident. Should I have done some type of introduction? What happened to her potty training?

According to the person I got him from, he was suppose to be pad trained, but not really, but he had no issues eliminating outside, he even went to the same spot.
Now, Cody doesn't seem to bothered by her growls he just walks the other way. I took them for a walk w/out any issues. Outside Cody squats to pee, indoors I noticed him lifting his legs, I assume he is marking (I use vinegar & water to get rid of the smell). How do I get him to stop? I know after he is neutered, it won't necessarily stop, so I have been correcting him by saying NO and also putting him in his crate when I cannot watch him.
He has been trying to hump her, but she will not allow it, then she trys to hump him, and he won't allow it. Is this them trying to work out who will be the pack leader? I can't really say, they are getting along, they're not really playing kind of ignoring each other, but she watches him. She growls at him when he gets to close (especially if she is chewing on a bullystick, and yes, I got it from westbrook). She also, blocks him when he is going up or down the stairs. Is there something I should or should not be doing, I try not to get involved, I was told to let them work it out and yes, he does growl back too sometimes.
Sorry, this is so lengthy, but there was so much going on the weekend. I put them on the deck, not really paying attention and stepped in the house for a second, Cody was in the backyard, I had to run around and get him, I forget he is small, he can slip through the railing. Has anyone had this issue, what do you use?
Thanks in advance for anyone who may respond.
