They have to be at least 14 months to limit injury to the joints. I would start clicker training as soon as 2 or 3 months though. June has an excellent recall and she does 'sit' (working on 'down' and 'shake') at 13 weeks.
Don't vilify me, I got her at 8 weeks since breeders in SA don't keep them over 8 weeks.
Anyway, I would definitely enroll the baby in class asap (June started at 12 weeks and she is doing very well).
