Love Kirby Update #2

This update was originally sent out on 4.13.09, just after his 1st birthday.

Kirby update #2

Kirby is still doing just fine. We just finished taking a nap. He loves to sprawl across me when I'm in my recliner. He just had his 1st birthday on the 10th and we had a very small BD party for him on that evening. Just me and the other Yorkies. We're planning on having his belated but official BD party when all my family gets back into town. Probably next weekend. They all love this little dog, and like me, they 'swear' this little dog with no eyes can see. He's got the greatest pair of little radar ears! And a nose that is always working overtime. Especially when he goes out back with the other dogs. He's become accustomed to where everything is in the house and no longer runs into things like he did for the first 3 or 4 days. He's also become accustomed to the dogs yard as well and has a great time out there. He's met quite a few of my neighbors who fish in the lake out back. And he LOVES everyone he meets, especially the children.

He really is a delight and I love just sitting back watching his antics and puppy play. He and Bubba had a nice little game of tug-of-war last week. Bubba made the mistake of taking Kirby's little pirate toy. (The little skeleton dressed in a pirates outfit.) All the ducks and other toys just make a noise once when you squeeze them. But when you squeeze that little skeleton/pirate, it continues with that laughing sound it makes several times per each squeeze. That gave Kirby time to zoom in on the sound so that he eventually was able to find Bubba. Kirby dragged Bubba all over the room. Bubba's not accustomed to that. But since Kirby is about twice his size, I guess he'd better get used to it. LOL
