I have VPI insurance---it is just OK. My yorkie girl was diagnosed with a liver shunt and once they realized what all the diagnostic tests were for they STOPPED paying! She now needs surgery to correct the shunt and VPI will not pay a dime as they do not pay for anything that is considered congenital. To date I have incurred $2650 in medical expenses and that is before the liver shunt surgery which is scheduled or June. Surgery will be aproximately another $3000. NOTHING will be covered by VPI. I am assuming otheer pet insurances work the same way. What a rip off! BEWARE! |
