I brought Couver home, and I did notice that he was smelly. I found that his belly hair has to be trimmed to keep him from pottying on his tummy. If this hair is kept short, there are no problems.

I also noticed that after he was neutered, he was less smelly. I find the benefits of neutering outweigh the drawbacks. Having my dog mark my house for his lifetime is not an option for me, so I neuter. I also feel that as a responsible pet owner, it is my duty to fix my animals so that they do not contribute to the overpopulation of animals.
