Roxy was like that at that age too. Riley's still a baby & has so much to learn about in this great big world. It's all a little too much for him all at once. It's downright scary out there. You were a baby once too & had to learn every single thing very slowly too. At 6-1/2 mo, the wind is still a mystery to Roxy since she can't see it, but she's not frightened by it like she was. Still doesn't understand it, but not afraid anymore. She has made great strides in her worldliness in the past 3 weeks. Now she thinks it's such a kick to feel wind when in the car even if it's the heater/ac vent. She's looking everywhere out the windows to see all the magnificant sights & smells. Before she only noticed the inside of the car. Doesn't want to be left at home now. She's also more relaxed on walks & not pulling me like she did. Is actually staying on loose leash on my left side most of the time now.

At least Riley is teaching himself to poop outside on the leash if he's paying attention, which is more than Roxy will do. She'll go outside, but not on the leash. UH!

Puppies take lots of naps naturally. IMO 2-3 hr naps isn't unusual after he's stressed as much as the walks make him. Give these babies time to grow up. We often expect too much too soon. It won't be long & you'll be huffing & puffing trying to keep up with them. : ) Be patient & enjoy their puppiness. Every pup has it's own little quirks & will change any of them on a dime at any moment... without notice. : )
