To me, it doesn't sound like she's working very hard with him. I know Tootsie was 5 1/2 mos and 1 1/2 lbs when I got her. Days she wouldn't take her treats in the morning, I would know she wasn't going to eat either, so, would get anything I could down her(her tummy would even growl). I wish you could get him back and find another owner, I'm sorry, but, she doesn't seem like she's doing all she should be with him. He shouldn't be having these problems

Thank you, yes I am very concerned but I feel I have no leverage here because she is not wanting to give him up. I have to agree with you that something is not right. I have never had a puppy that is larger and at least 12 weeks of age have these kinds of problems. She asks for advice then will not take it. I do not want anything to happen to this poor puppy but at the same time I can't just barge into her house and grab him back because he is legally hers now. This is the one of the more difficult parts of breeding and one that buyers don't often see or understand.
