I use an x-pen. Chewy is small so I was able to get one that is meant for gerbils! I have a little bed and all his toys in it and he is quite content. If we are going to be gone for longer than 5 hours, I stick 1/2 the wee pad underneath. I got mine at petco for $20. I think it is a good pen for baby puppies or very small dogs.
