I wouldn't depend 100% on the temp. thing. It didin't work well for me and my dog hated being checked with a thermometer. I wouldn't "examine" her with your finger unless there is a problem. That does give a better chance for an infection by doing that. Just leave her be and you will know when she's going to whelp, I wouldn't leave her side though. My girl's water broke and within 5 minutes she was pushing. There was not any other signs to see except for knowing she was on day 63. Try not to mess with her on those ''checks'.
