It sounds like he might have an abscess in his mouth. It would be good to get him to the vets tomorrow. I also recommend that you start keeping an eye on his stool. Loose stools is a major indication of illness and also by checking the stool periodically you can spot tape worms if he happens to get them. At least, while he is not feeling well, maybe you should escort him outside. Dogs can easily eat something outside that they should not and they can get very sick.
