I'm so sorry.
I can totally understand how u feel. This happened to my Mom a couple of yrs ago......only the baby birds were in a fern hanging basket on her front porch. She watched them grow every day & watched the Mom work diligently to feed them. She became so attached watching them. And then........Yes, u know what happened! It was awful. I won't even go into the details. But to this day, she has Never had another fern hanging basket.
