I think it is a fantastic idea. The mobile groomer in this area charges quite a bit more than the shops though. I have not used them for that reason. I would pay a little more for the benefit of keeping them home but not double. The mobile groomer wants $65-$75 each for up to 12 pounds here. I only pay $35-$40 to get mine groomed at the shops. I figure they don't have near the overhead a "brick and mortar" type establishment has so they don't really need to jack up the price quite that much.

I have checked around and find where I can get the first appointment of the day, that way I can wait and have them back and not leave them all day. One let me actually come in while she groomed but I think it was harder to keep my babies calm when they saw me. So I just wait outside. Last time, I actually got brave enough to run to the store while Ben was getting groomed. But that was after several times at that shop. Still, I have him back in no longer than 2 hours.
