We have always, always had female dogs (and big dogs)! I never wanted one due to the marking and their "tallywacker" sticking out!
Moose came to us as a gift from our son! I was like

Moose is the most loving furbutt we have ever had! We had him fixed early. He doesn't mark in the house at all. He is totally house trained for outside only. He will mark outside!
And I have only seen his "tallywacker" out once!
and he is 2 1/2 years old!
We got Mimi 11 months ago. She is loving, but feisty!
And she MARKS outside all the time too....even lifting her leg!
