Yes, she can definitely get pregnant. Unfortunately, we read about these accidents more often than we should. Do you know what day of her heat cycle she is on? How old is she and how much does she weigh? Your best hope is that it is either too early or too late in her heat cycle for her to get pregnant. If it is anywhere from the 9th to the 17th day then it is likely she could get pregnant. Just keep them separated so it does not happen again and hopefully she will not get pregnant. In the meantime you need to start studying up on breeding and whelping. She will be in heat a full 21 days. You can take her to the vets in about 30 days and he can do a ultrasound to tell if she is pregnant. Please keep us posted.
