I hauled her back in the kayak and as she shook off, she knocked out a scupper plug and the kayak filled with water. I pulled up onto a small stretch of beach to unload and dump the water out. She went absolutely bonkers in the sand. She was such a mess I had to dunk her in the river to clean her up enough to put her back in the kayak! All in all, we had a blast. Can't wait till the rain stops to go again!

P.S. As goofy as she got in the sand, I think goggles would have come off. I usually have saline eye rinse or natural tears on hand for human and dog use.

Oh man, sounds like you had your hands full!

My two use the life vets and it definitely helps them. We also put them in the water without them on just to get them used to it just in case they should fall in while they don't have them on.

With Hot Rod's tub therapy, Maggie was swimming wothout her jacket and was obviously getting tired and you could see her backside going down and she would have probably gone under too. So I know the jackets will definitely help them when they are in the water. Hubby also bought a crab net cause we just know Maggie will wind up in the water this year as she has discovered birds!

Here is one of the ones that we have.
