They work very well. Tinkerbell and I went kayaking last week and she was more interested in drinking the water, barking at the splashes and the wake, then anything. She was a bit shocked when she fell in but the vest kept her afloat just fine. I had no choice, it was either steer to avoid overhanging trees or keep the dog in the kayak! I hauled her back in the kayak and as she shook off, she knocked out a scupper plug and the kayak filled with water. I pulled up onto a small stretch of beach to unload and dump the water out. She went absolutely bonkers in the sand. She was such a mess I had to dunk her in the river to clean her up enough to put her back in the kayak! All in all, we had a blast. Can't wait till the rain stops to go again!

P.S. As goofy as she got in the sand, I think goggles would have come off. I usually have saline eye rinse or natural tears on hand for human and dog use.
