I have an excellent gate, I bought mine at Drsfostersmith, think they sell the same one at walmart, but, there is no knocking it down. Now, my one can jump it when it storms, she's deathly afraid of them, so, hubby rigged it where she couldn't jump it. It's a big piece of posterboard, and he put some kind of back on it that latches right over the gate, which keeps any dog from going over it.
I don't know what to tell you(op) about the anxiety. It just breaks your heart when you know they were abused, and now they have someone that loves them, and they don't want to lose that love again. You may have to get ahold of an animal trainer to see what to do. Or maybe buy that Caesar Milan book, I'm sure he has something in it as far as how to work with one with anxiety problems |
