Just try to do it little by little, I do my girls every other day, I use petzlife and dog paste, I get the small brush at the kid section the small one I can find, when my girls don't feel up to it I just hold their head gentle, if they move to the right I move to right but I never take the brush out, they know now that resistant is futile
