Whining while just staring at the wall?
If he doesn't stop whining no matter what you do, then maybe he's in pain (and you might want to check with the vet). If he stops whining when you play with him, then maybe he's just bored or he just wants your attention. Teddi would whine when he wanted something, like a toy that was out of reach, or if he wanted to play but we're ignoring him (especially when we're watching tv). If that's the case, just be careful that it doesn't turn into a habit (whining to get something or your attention).
