Sigh...me too. Izzy will be 2-1/2 in June and she is just now getting to 3#. For the longest time she was between 2.3 and 2.9. To this day I continue to be asked is she a teacup. I, too, go through all the explanation and then I see that look on their face like "what????". So I just say no - she is normal since the breed standard is from 3-8 and she's just on the small side. That stops them most times.
