ok. so i know that there is no such a thing as a 'teacup category' for yorkies. all yorkies are 'toy' dogs. and 'teacup' is an incorrect category.
BUT
the rest of the world doesn't seem to know that. (the rest of the world = most people you meet outside of this community)
people very often ask me if milu is a teacup. so i would start my normal routine of explaining to them that there is no such thing. and i would also try to tell them that both her parents were normal size yorkies (5 lbs) and if they show interest in small size yorkies, i would explain to them that it's not a good idea to look for a "tiny" yorkie, because they can have health problems if ...blah blah blah... i try my best to tell them what i think they should know about yorkies.
they usually look at me like "wow, that's way too much information." and then proceed to say something along the lines of "so she is a teacup?"
a lot of people really firmly believe that teacup is a different type of yorkie and i think i am jut wasting my time when i try to tell them otherwise.
