Question What Lubricant To Use On Clippers?

Sometimes I scissor cut or clipper cut my yorkies. They have beautiful hair, but the hot humid summers and their comfort comes first, so I give them short cuts.

This evening I started on one baby and I ran out of lubricant for the clippers. It originally came in a very small tube, sort of shaped like a mini-toothpaste tube. It said something to the affect of having mineral oil in it. While I will get more clipper lubricant, I'm wondering if there is something safe I can use?

I never bought mineral oil before and plan on it; it's just that entails going into town and I'm in the country, so I'd like to save the drive and get his cut finished today.

Do any of you know any lubricants that are safe that I can use on the clippers? I was thinking of using Mazola... the cooking oil. I'm not concerned about the health of my clippers, but about baby boy. LOL!

Thanks,

Matthias
