I would ask to see that area. Professional good groomers will have no problem showing you where they have your baby and what process they use when grooming them. Also, most will give you a time frame when you can pick them up before you leave. You should not have to have you r baby there for 5 hrs!! My goodness that is just not right.
Next time you go in, tell them you would like to stay and observe.
