It doesnt suprise me anymore with the food companies and sick pets. I dont understand why they have to continually change thier products when what they had was working. They probably switched ingredients cause they were cheaper somewhere else and didnt tell anyone about it making dogs ill from the change.. didnt canidae do the same thing not to long ago?? I hope no more dogs get sick.
I had never heard that before, but i looked it up and it did say that dry foods low in protein and high grains and carbs could cause fermantation which makes gas. Thanks for correcting me. With that new info, a food like wellness really wouldnt fit in to "low protein, high in grain" catagory anyways, so its unlikely that the dog from the forum had it's bloat caused by wellness.
I agree that we should not be freaking out and changing foods becuase of what a few people have said. Im sure every brand/type of food out there has had a bad effect on atleast a couple dogs. I would think if our babies have been on it for a while and you've noticed no differences and the FDA hasn't started investigating Wellness/Wellpet then they will probably be ok.
