Whatever you do don't buy from a pet store. They are known to get their puppies from puppy mills. If you don't know what a puppy mills, please do a google search. I am an animal lover as well and seeing videos of puppy mills brings tears to my eyes. The humane association has a good video of a puppy mill raid.

Also have you thought about adopting a dog. There are plenty of yorkies that you can find through petfinders.com. My dog was a rescue, and I love her to death. Wouldn't trade a million bucks for her. So please don't rule out rescues, they are so worth it.
