He is young still and doesn't realize what the car is. yes it is true you must associate the car with something good. After he gets in the car give him a wonderful treat (that he only gets in the car) and the same when he gets out. Unfortunetly some dogs only get in the car to go to the vet. Good thing, most yorkie owners don't do that!

We used to live in Riverisde county, CA about 50 miles from our store (where we work) and Uni would come with us everyday. We have since lost our home, and now live with family about 5 miles away from our store. Uni has gotten used to the change of course. She knows when we go off course. If we make a pit stop she freaks out. Dogs are very smart. They are animals of habit. If something is different than usual they know, and will make it known!

As long as your furbaby is not throwing up (motion sickness), he is just nervous. Keep him on the same schedule everyday and he will eventually accept it. dont' try to change their schedule too often, or they will get confused as to what to expect each day. Good luck!
