I think he is very handsome!!! There is a difference in trying to be nice to someone and taking someones crap... If a persons comment upset me that much they would know it. I am a very nice person to everyone but don't take peoples crap. I think next time I would tell her something in a polite but serious way so that she knew I ment business.
To me a yorkie with long well kept hair just means they are well taken care of. Maybe if she says he is so ugly he is cute, tell her I wish I could say the same for you... You are just ugly!!! Hmm... Maybe that is too mean, maybe not. Hehe...
