The best thing to do even if you do nothing else is find a breeder close enough to drive and she all her dogs. Not just puppy and parents but all her dogs. See where her dogs are house, if in a kennel ask if you will be able to see the kennel. Some breeders will say for safty they don't let people in their kennel. But if their dogs has had their shots, their dogs are fine with visters. I am a breeder and I never meet anyone, because I think they need to see my set up and all my dogs so they know they came for a great home. But this way you see for your self if it is a good breeder or puppy mill. IF the puppies look sick, how she takes care of her mamas and daddys. Good luck.
