Nancy, thank you for the great instructions! We now having a moving avatar! I'm going to have to experiment with different pictures now - this is kinda fun! 
Oh, I had a photoscape question for you. I only used it to create this avatar. Will this program be good to crop out extra background stuff so more of the picture is just the subject?
