I think that most show breeders breed for a little larger than 3 to 4 lbs as they are showing breeding stock, not small pets. Most reputable breeders will not breed a female under 5 lbs. You need to watch breeders that breed for short muzzels as underbites can be a problem. Yorkies are terriers after all. Please research your breeders before you buy. Look at the YTCA site and sweetyblue.com. These will be the best knowledgeable breeders.
