I don't know what to expect on her recovery.. What should I do to help her better. I know she won't be able to jump on couches anymore or at least til she's healed.. What about on the ride home how can I make that more comfortable for her... Its so hard when the dog can't tell us what they are feeling my poor baby... |
I was the same way when Mandie had her surgery done. I had class from 10am until 3pm on some of the days. She stayed in the kitchen with her comfy bed and only 1 toy so she wouldn't play too much. I bought the premie/0-3 mth onsies. They seemed to fit her and she is 5lbs. It was hard to keep her from jumping up on the couch but I think they realize that it hurts to jump, so they just dont, at least for the first few days. If you can get thru day 1 and 2, you'll be fine!!!! Day 1 was hard because she couldnt lay down or sit down because it hurt to much. She cried.. and that made me soo sad =(. My vet didn't give us the pain med the first day so we had to go get some the next day because she was in Pain! My mom went with me and held her on the way home from the vet. She was still out of it so that was good!!
