My daughter and I are in CA due to a family crisis and we ended up leaving Penny behind with my husband, Terry. Penny gets so car sick and still isn't potty trained, so we thought it would be best to leave her home.
Well, Terry isn't up for the training stuff and Penny is getting by with everything! He lets her follow him into our bedroom and she does "business" in there on the floor several days a week.

He said that she leaves puddles and piles in all kinds of places.
Do you think we will have to start from square one on potty training when we get back? I hate the idea of crating her again. We are so disappointed in all this.
Really, Terry thinks he is being sweet. He felt sorry for her being "boxed" in and only having access to my office and kitchen since he doesn't work in there. I thought that was fine, because he is in the room next to the kitchen so I changed the boxes to include his office too and just encouraged him to watch her closely.
Well, he decided he didn't have time for the potty training and would rather put up with cleaning up the messes. He thinks we can just get her back to the potty training when we get home.
Really, he is spoiling her. Most of the time when we call each other Penny is sleeping ON his desk. He put a blanket up there for her to lay on. LOL This dog is going to think she is the queen of the house when we return.
Well, I just needed to vent. Also, I am wondering if anyone has left their dog somewhere and had to retrain them when they returned.
