My husband and I are planning a 3 day trip on the weekend of July 4th to Tokyo. The thing I am torn about is do I leave Marley with a friend or place her in the kennel on base ( we live on a military installation ). Here is what is going through my mind. If I put her in the kennel, then I know that she won't get hurt by someone stepping on her because they arent used to having a yorkie at their feet all the time. I just think ( and call me crazy ) that it would be safer for her. I can pay the kennel here 6 dollars extra a day to take her out and play with her for 15 minutes 2X a day. I am just worried that she will be depressed and won't eat or something. If i leave her with a friend then I am worried that she will get stepped on or she will potty in there house and they will get pi$$ed. I don't mind when she has accidents in my house bc i love her. But other people really dont appreciate that kind of stuff. Also, I don't know anyone without kids, I dont want her in a house with children because she is so tiny and I don't know how parent their children on how to be around animals. GaHHh this is killing me. I could ask someone to come to the house to check onher but I don't trust anyone at work or that I know to come every 4 hours to let her out and I don't know anyone who would house sit. Any advice? I am going nutso as I type, and my DH is a little peeved at me now because I told him I might not go.
