Chicken or turkey baby food (human) can be used for a bland diet if you're in a hurry or while the rice is cooking. I always keep some on hand.
If your dog doesn't improve in 24-48 hours after the initial dose of antibiotics, call the vet and tell them there is no improvement. Most often they will prescribe a different AB. Your dog should show improvement within 1-2 days. If not, call the vet again till something works. If the discharge turns cloudy, get back to the vet or an emergency vet for treatment. URI's can turn into pneumonia esp. in very young or old dogs and can be fatal. |
