The price might be why she's used Wal-Mart food, and money may be a hindrance for not buying anything more expensive. Our big dogs have eaten it plenty with no problem.
This may be off the wall, but Molly stepped in some ants once that bit her little feet. Probably not the cause, but just a suggestion.
