Default Positive feedback on Lysodren

Hello,
A few weeks back I posted a thread about my boy Simon he is having a problem with reoccurring calcium Oxalate stones. In October when we did the ultra sound to check his bladder his vet noticed an enlarged adrenal gland so they suggested that we run the Low Dex test which we did and it was confirmed that Simon has Cushings, but he is not showing any symptoms of Cushings so we decided not to treat him at this time.

It has been 7 months since having the stones removed (the 3rd time) and he again has formed more stones so after doing research and consulting with other vets and specialist his vet has decided that it is a good possibility (not 100%) that he keeps forming stones due to the Cushings (make sense because the cortisol excretes calcium into his urine) but it apparently is not that cut and dry. I hate the thought of giving him that toxic medication, but I also can not keep putting him through surgery after surgery so I have to make this difficult decision on whether to treat the Cushings and hope for the best.

I have been doing a ton of reading but I always find negative postings about Lysodren is there anyone that has had success with the Lysodren and can maybe tell me what to expect I am so afraid of the loading phase. Luckily Simon comes to work with me so I can constantly monitor him.

I would really appreciate any information that anyone may have.
Thank you...wish us luck!
