The CKC is the Canadian version of AKC and there is really nothing wrong with a CKC registered dog- they are just from Canada. Their standards are equally high

If you buy a dog that is AKC you can get it registered CKC but the process is really quite long and involved- not sure what the process is to go from CKC to AKC.
