You know those little basket muzzles that don't prevent a dog from opening its mouth, but cover the mouth so that it would be difficult to pick things up? Having one of those on hand might help a lot-- she could be under the table at dinner time or go out on walks without you having to fear that she'll pick up scraps. I know someone whose poodle wears one when his owner can't pay 100% attention to him since he tends to eat things he shouldn't.
