The thing is...it's just hard for me to believe something in the water is going to do all that much, you know? Still, as long as my vet assures me there's no harm in it, and maybe some benefit...
My Phoebe managed ok with most of her teeth gone, but life would sure have been easier for her with them. She'd had a few cleanings, but certainly not every year. I am totally paranoid about anesthetics and such small dogs. She was only 6 and sometimes 6-1/2 lbs. To my everlasting shame, I didn't stick with brushing her teeth. She had a large mouth compared to Zoey, too...it wouldn't have been that difficult.
I've vowed not to let that happen to little Zo, if it's humanly possible to prevent it.
