, I don't find a second to be any more work or much more expense than the first. Now that Holly is grown, she wears the same size clothes as Gracie. They share everything and what they don't share Holly steals from Gracie. For me, the secret was waiting on no. 2 until no. 1 was completely trained. I think multiple dogs is like having multiple skin kids. You get into a routine, you become more efficient with care. Any extra time it takes to care for two is more quality time spent with them.
