If you have any separation-anxiety issues with your dog -- i.e., them throwing a fit when you leave home or tearing things up while you're gone -- consider not letting them shower you with affection the second you come home.
Instead, walk in casually, mostly ignoring them, before showing them any attention.
The reason is if your return is cause for so much rewarded excitement, they are going to miss you even more when you leave.
That said, I showered mine with praise for the first year of his life, and he didn't have any problems. You'll probably be just fine enjoying those Yorkie kisses.
And belly bands are the way to go if you're in an absolutely-no-pee situation.
