We started brushing Laddy twice a day from the first day he came home with us. I kept treats for this beside us, would brush a bit, treat, and brush some more. Now he loves it, I say head up he raises his little head for neck brushing, and paw up he raises paws to get his underarms brushed lol. Good luck.
