If folks are buying pups from mills isn't that just approving their actions? It's still putting $$ into the millers hands, why not go thru ASPCA (or local authorities) and fight to have them shut down, the animals actually rescued and then adopted out by reputable agencies?
I've dealt first hand with a few "rescue" organizations, sadly I was not impressed. Too many of them are actually making money instead of focusing on finding the right forever home for the dogs.
I hope that you can find a good rescue group to deal with, sounds like you'd make a great Mom
