With the barking .....

You have to stop the barking jag before it starts
Once a dog gets into a barking mode it is VERY hard to get them to stop

So you have to be vigilant
and You need to yell something or do something that will stop them in their tracks
Yelling NO BARK! or Clapping or Shaking a can of coins
what ever it is must stop them from barking

I have found a very good little trick
when either of my two boys start to bark I yell EH!
This will stop them and I hold up a finger
If they start again I repeat and come closer
and this will keep going until I am within reach
If you need to continue the pointed finger touches their nose
They will always stop and beg for attention
and this is where you lavish praise

Sounds silly but it works like a charm
