i have 4 yorkies and it is a lot of work! thank goodness i do have some (not a lot mind you lol) help from my fiance.
as far as the expenses go, it IS expensive but i made the conscious effort to spend less on myself (things i really do not need like my 101st pair of jeans lol) so i could spoil my babies
it is so much fun to see them all playing and having a good time and then coming over to lay on my lap - or right by me - when they are all tired out. it makes the difficulty worth it for sure!
