Just for thought, doctors have now determined that when animals and humans have a hysterectomy and oophrectomy( spaying), there are side effects that occur both in the short and long term.
Lack of the hormones that are produced by the ovaries, cause a cascade of issues, urinary incontinence is but one of them. Not to mention calcium absorbtion issues, which may effect her teeth, and cardiovascular issues as well.
Effects such as these occur all the time in post-hysterectomy women, unfortunately, as I know of these on a personnal basis!
So to follow the logical conclusion: these issues should also happen in female animals where this procedure is practiced.

Just a thought into the mix............

By the way, just hope all goes well this morning at the vet, especially after her gastro issues this morning.
