That happened to us too, and then the next exchange we were in we got them for a buddy again, but then Admin fixed it and gave them a new buddy. So it does happen.
Years ago there were not many, if any hint threads so this is new for me. I kinda looked and responded to a few hint threads hoping not to disappoint our buddy and have narrowed out who it is by at least 20 that it is not throught the hint threads we did not meet the hints. I have no idea who our buddy is and still think our buddy has no clue it is us. I kinda like the surprise part of it all and hope our buddy is not disappointed if we miss hints or posts.....
