Medium Dog: I had a West highland terrier that was awesome! Cocker spaniel that was difficult.
Large dog: White German Shepherd saved my life! Smart, loyal, kind, protective, smart.

(I answered the door once while I was home alone, and sick. Strange man standing there says, oh I woke you, sorry. You sick and home alone? I answered yes I feel so sick. (I usually know better than to do this, so don't flame me on this one!) As this guy moves forward to push the front door open, my dog jumps up and lets out a snarl at his face. To which I finally got what was going on, slammed the door shut, locked it. I saw my life flash before my eyes, and proceeded to spoil that dog for the next 14 years of her life.)
