I'm thinking about getting a Morkie and I am wondering a few things. First of all let me start this post by saying I am FULLY aware that Morkies are "Mutts" and not a recognized breed. I have already been bashed about how I'm contributing to puppy mills and animal cruelty etc. I know that people are charging outrageous prices for these dogs when they are not purebred. With that being said, I dont want one because I want some kind of purse dog, I want one because I love Maltese and I love Yorkies but I like how the Morkie looks as it gets older and I want something that stays small as I just want a small dog.
I just want to see a few pics of adult morkies...hear a bit about their temperment, how easy to train, if they bark alot etc. Also wondering if anyone has ever gotten one thats on the small side? If so, were there any health issues?
Also looking for general care tips...grooming...etc.
Breeding information as well...its not likely that I will breed her but just curious for future reference.
And last but not least...where to get one in Ontario? I would really like to get her from somewhere reliable and decent. I have had dogs my entire life...well every pet you can think of actually lol but its my first time buying a dog on my own and I dont want to get sucked into some sort of puppy mill situation. This is if I dont end up getting one from a shelter. that is where I will be going first.
