I was thinking about hardwood floors too, but I have a friend who was them, and her cats put stains on them. So that's out. I think carpet is the best way to go. They do have carpet that is stain proof to puppies, but I'm not sure just how stain proof it is. I use our carpet cleaner alot too. And we change our carpet every five years, we have to with five kids and three fur babies.
